Grand Paradise Bavaro and Club All Inclusive Hotel

When we first checked in the staff was very friendly.We were staying at the Club,but we didn't know it until they told us we were at the wrong lobby because we were VIP.The Prieto Tour guy was still there, so he drove us over to the CLUB.We were checked in and shown our room within 10-15 minutes. The room was nothing special. It had no dresser for clothing. The A/C was not on yet since we had to put a room key in the slot to turn it on. It kicked on in no time and stayed on throughout our stay. We were not given towel cards right away, but I took care of that with no issue. In fact, I asked for two more towel cards the next day so we had 4 towels all week. This came in handy when it came time to put towels on the pool chairs to reserve them for the day...we went out at 5am everyday to reserve...one day that wasn't early enough! The line to reserve dinner was very long the day we got there,so we went the next day and reserved all our dinners for the week.That's what I recommend to everyone.Don't try to get reservations everyday, you'll end up frustrated. The service was mostly slow,but everyone was nice. Except for the women at the gift shop, they aren't very nice. I liked staying at the Club.It was alot of walking since we almost never took the train,which came every 10minutes,but we had more choices because of our "VIP" wristbands. We had hot water in the shower.I think that's it!They didn't dissapoint me.

- Kids pool and Jacuzzi, disgusting dirty for three days
- Room, a/c broken, no shampoo for the whole stay
- You have to make an hour line every day to make the dinner reservation
- We couldn?t find reservation for the sea food restaurant in four days. Is not ?all inclusive? you have to pay for some seafood and for that menu there is always available reservation

i have to say the beach and pool areas were really nice, that i cant complain about but i had a much better time in another location with much friendlier people and a cheaper price. americans watch out for the french, they are extremely rude and will cut in line to get food and take the spoons out of your hand if your getting food at the buffets. the food wasnt that good but they did have a few things that were ok. the room didnt get cleaned till late and at times we didnt get enough towels or shampoos, the staff was sometimes rude. we had to wait 5 days for what we asked for and when we got it we didnt need it b/c we were leaving. the shows were good the first 2 days and then its like you are watching the same thing but different backgrounds and costumes. they charge you for everything even phone calls when you purchase a calling card. be careful with the beach sellers, they mark up the price 4 or 5 times more than what they charge in the gift shop at the hotel. we bought more at the hotel gift shop than the vendors. we did go in the truck safari and that was really nice and you can get cheap gifts at the place they take you. i was pleased with the trip overall, especially since we got to drink to clear our minds from all the bad things there, but if you let the things get to you on the trip you are sure to have a horrible time, so make the best of it and hope for the best. b/c we had a hard time having fun and staying entertained, i wouldn't recommend this place

the staff was discourteous, and everyone demanded a tip, after having to change rooms you had to pay for a remote and a safe lock, food was horrible
